1.數控主板：用于核心控制、運算、存儲、伺服控制等。新主板集成了PLC功能。
2.PLC板：用于外圍動作控制。新系統的PLC板已經和數控主板集成到一起。
3.I/O板：早期的I/O板用于數控系統和外部的開關信號交換。新型的I/O板主要集成了顯示接口、鍵盤接口、手輪接口、操作面板接口及RS232接口等。
4．MMC板：人機接口板。這是個人電腦化的板卡，不是必須匹配的。本身帶有CRT、標準鍵盤、軟驅、鼠標、存儲卡及串行、并行接口。
5.CRT接口板：用于顯示器接口。新系統中，CRT接口被集成到I/O板上。另外，還提供其他一些可選板卡等。

 

在PLC應用方面，我國是很活躍的，近年來每年約新投入10萬臺套PLC產品，年銷售額30億人民幣，應用的行業也很廣。但是與其它國家相比，在機械加工及生產線方面的應用，還需要加大投入。

我國市場上流行的有如下幾家PLC產品： 施耐德公司，包括早期天津儀表廠引進康公司的產品，目前有Quantum、Premium、Momentum等產品；2005年，Te又推出了羅克韋爾公司（包括AB公司）PLC產品，目前有SLC、MicroLogix、ControlLogix等產品；西門子公司的產品，目前有SIMATIC S7-400/300/200系列產；GE公司的產品；日本歐姆龍、三菱、富士、松下等公司產品。
